Rye : four weeks to go

Hello and thanks for joining the Rye mailing list. My characters and story roll around in my head, occupying my thoughts with all the little things that make the novel exciting to me. Agonizing over single words, or rewriting entire conversations to make sure Matt and Rye express exactly what I want them to say. I love these people. Writing a novel is a pretty amazing process. Most of my experience has been writing lyrics, where I only have the chance to get into a character's head for 10 or 20 lines. With Rye, I get to live with them over the course of months of their lives. I watch them develop, and grow, and hurt, and love. That's pretty exciting! Another thing that excites me is that Rye is almost done. If everything keeps on schedule, I plan for a mid- to late-October release. Rye will be available at Amazon for the Kindle, as well as in paperback. I will have signed copies for sale at my webstore (which I still have to build).
